Zero-Volume Keywords

In short

Zero-volume keywords are search terms that keyword tools report as having no (or almost no) monthly searches. Many are real, specific queries the tools simply can't measure — and they can bring highly qualified visitors.

Why tools show zero#

Keyword tools estimate volume from limited data and round small numbers down. New topics, niche B2B terms, product-specific questions and local phrases often show “0” or “—” even though people search them every month.

When they’re worth targeting#

  • Customers ask the question in sales calls, WhatsApp chats or support tickets.
  • Search Console already shows impressions for the phrase.
  • Google autocomplete or People Also Ask suggests it.
  • The query is close to a purchase (“wordpress developer for saas dashboard in pune”).
  • It’s a new term — being first can win the topic before competitors notice.

How to use them#

Answer them inside a broader, related article (as an H2 or FAQ) or create a dedicated page when the intent is distinct and commercially valuable. Together, dozens of “zero-volume” phrases can drive meaningful, high-converting traffic.
